Thank you for clicking onto our donation page, we have a number of options for you to donate to the club and help to support and maintain rowing at UCL medical school.
Alumni Membership
£20 per annum
Membership entitles you to alumni updates, the ability to enter alumni crews in BUMPS, presidential updates, attendance at alumni specific events, contact details of current members and the ability to be on the Alumni committee.
Membership is also included in any of the recurring donations it just comes with a bit of a higher price to enable members to pay more if they so wish.

We have a series of Direct Debit plans set up that can hopefully make your donating experience much easier. Creative thinking processes went into formulating the very inspired array of names.

FAQ
1. Why do I have to sign up to GoCardless?
GoCardless is an online company which allows collection of direct debit and single payment donations direct from you bank account. It is perfect for clubs like us. It gives you more control over any direct debits you set up, and is highly secure. It also keeps everything paperless which allows a more effiecent and a less time consuming accounting from our side! If you would like to discuss other ways of making a donation please contact rumsbc.alumni@gmail.com
2. Where is my money going?
Into the RUMSBC Alumni account. This is controlled by the RUMSBC Alumni Treasurer, who is at present Charlie Hennings. Together with the current RUMSBC President and Treasurer the funds are carefully used so it has the most effect for the club.
3. What is my donation going towards?
Ultimately towards the club! It will be spent on new equipment to help maintain and improve RUMSBC. It could also be used to allow club members attend rowing regattas and other events. Potentially it may also go towards buying items for a new colour system we may soon implement. We are also looking at soon adding alumni perks for recurring donations.
However 1% at a maximum of up to £2 per transcation goes to GoCardless (e.g. £1/month donation, £0.01/month to Gocardless, £0.99/month to RUMSBC) This is much less than other online services for instance PayPal. This is the price paid for the online service rather than a purely paper service which is slower and time consuming.
4. Can I cancel my direct debit?
Of course! We obviously prefer if you didn’t. However:
1. Login to you GoCardless Account: https://gocardless.com/
2. Click authorisations
3. Click the relevant link
4. Click the gear icon in the top right
5. Click cancel
6. Accept Cancellation
5. When will money be taken form my account?
Single Donations: 7 days from when you made the donation
Recurring Donations: 1st of every month
